Some of our duties as Insurance Brokers include but not limited to:
- Ensuring adequate insurance cover for both human and material resources by way of incorporating appropriate policy extensions on existing covers taking cognizance of unfolding realities of times. This is achievable mainly by advising the Institute on all insurance requirements.
- Obtaining competitive rates, policies terms and conditions from reliable and reputable Insurance Underwriting Companies, thus ensuring that the Institute get the best and most suitable cover at the most economic costs.
- Studying and explaining in simple but concise details all policies and endorsements terms, exceptions, and conditions to ensure full achievements of the Institute intentions and purposes.
- Ensuring that in the event of claim, the Institute receives equitable and satisfactory settlement within the terms of the policy arrangement by facilitating smooth and expeditious settlement.
- Giving necessary advice on training needs of the Institute Insurance scheduled officers (where applicable) in order to facilitate better and optimum performance of allotted duties at all times.
Charges:
We perform above listed duties and even more as may be required by subsequently unfolding events with NO COST whatsoever to the Institute. Reasons being that, by tradition, our remunerations come from participating Underwriting Insurance Companies. In effect, this arrangement does NOT in any way have adverse effect on normal insurance premium payable on every insurance policy effected by the Institute.
Underwriters:
It is our role as Professional Insurance Brokers to place our clients' insurable risks with National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) approved reputable Underwriting Insurance Companies in the market.
